Release Notes ReqSuite® RM 3.6

In ReqSuite® RM 3.6., which is released on 19th September 2021, again more than 200 improvements and new features have been integrated. The most important modifications are listed below.

General

  • Support for French as third GUI and project language (only quality check features not available yet in French)
  • Project wide search with auto complete
  • Document-like representation of project contents (BETA)

Configuration

  • Discontinuation of the pure sentence template (i.e. only tabular input forms as well as sentence templates within cells are supported)
  • Option to exclude individual rows of the input form from export to MS Word
  • Sorting option for the order of categories on the left side of the project screen
  • New data type for enumerations with multiple selection

Element Editing

  • Tab mechanism for the editing windows (i.e. multiple items can be opened at the same time)
  • Copy & paste of images into rich text fields
  • Comment histories with reply function
  • Possibility for project users to set responsibilities (i.e. no longer only for managers)
  • Redesign of the link window with the possibility to create links by drag and drop
  • Possibility to enrich relationships with additional information by means of attributes

Table & Board Operations

  • Possibility to switch between full line height (incl. HTML formatting) and reduced display
  • Display of linked elements as hyperlinks in table
  • Display of folder membership in table
  • Display of review/rating results in table
  • Possibility to filter on elements without folder affiliation
  • Drag & drop moving of items from table to folders
  • Extension of the filtering and sorting options in the Kanban board
  • Automatic expansion of subtrees in the refinement view

Reuse & Assistance

  • Redesign of the reuse window
  • Selective selection of elements to be updated when a reuse base is changed
  • Grouped display of quality inspection results
  • Possibility to define blacklists and whitelists for terms

Exports & Imports

  • Output of contents in a Word document grouped by their relationship to items of another category
  • Output of contents in a Word document grouped according to their relationship to folders
  • Extension of baseline comparisons in MS Word by the possibility to specify the desired version for the comparison
  • Extension of baseline comparisons in MS Word by the possibility to compare the concrete versions of changed elements
  • Output of folder membership in MS Excel
  • Output of the version number in MS Excel
  • Import of elements from MS Excel into specified folders

Interfaces to other Tools

  • Possibility to export linked elements as field values
  • Ability to trigger a new synchronization when the attribute mapping is changed
  • Ability to manage API users via LDAP / Active Directory as well
  • New interface to ClickUp (similar to existing interfaces to JIRA, etc.)

Versioning / Baselining

  • Possibility to compare a baseline with the current project status
  • Comparison of element versions without loss of formatting
