Privacy Terms

As a user of our website, you will receive all necessary information in this data protection declaration about how, to what extent and for what purpose we (OSSENO Software GmbH) or third party providers collect data from you and how we use it. Your data is collected and used strictly in accordance with the provisions of Art.6 of the GDPR, the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz – TMG). We are particularly committed to the confidentiality of your personal data and therefore work within the limits set by law.

Our website uses SSL encryption throughout. This encryption is therefore also activated for all inquiries, registrations and orders that involve the entry of personal data. Please make sure that the SSL encryption is also activated from your side when you perform such activities. The use of encryption is easy to recognize: The display in your browser line changes from “http://” to “https://”. Data encrypted via SSL cannot be read by third parties. Only transmit your confidential information if SSL encryption is activated and if in doubt, please contact us.

Please note, however, that data on the Internet is generally not always secure. Especially in e-mail traffic, data exchange protection cannot be guaranteed.

However, this is only information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally.

Specifically, the information mentioned consists of the name of the website, the file, the current date with time, the data volume, the web browser and its version, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet provider, the referrer URL as the page from which you switched to our site and the corresponding IP address.

All this data is stored by us in the cloud-based CRM system of Pipedrive OÜ, Paldiski mnt 80, Tallinn 10617, Estonia (“Pipedrive”).

We only use your personal data provided to us to answer your inquiries, to process contracts concluded with you and for technical administration and support.

3. Deletion or Blocking of Personal Data

The data processing by us therefore always takes place with regard to data economy only to the extent and for as long as it is necessary for the use of our website and/or services, or is prescribed by law. If the purpose of data collection ceases to apply or if the end of the legal storage period has been reached, the data collected will be blocked or deleted.

4. Transmission of Personal Data

Without your explicit consent, we will only pass on your personal data to third parties if it is required by the law, or if this is absolutely necessary for the purpose of contract processing, delivery or billing. This does not apply to data which is kept due to legal regulations or which is required for proper business transactions. Data is stored in a lock file for control purposes so that data can be locked at any time. If data are not collected by a legal archiving obligation, we delete your data at your request. If the archiving obligation applies, we block your data.

In addition, you have a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority if you do not agree to the processing, information, correction, blocking or deletion of your data or to the consideration of your revocation.

6. Site-specific Information

By using the following extensions on our website, (personal) data is also partly transmitted to servers in the USA (non-EU countries). The processing there is subject to the Privacy Shield Agreement.

6.1. Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. Through this we automatically receive certain data like e.g. IP address, browser used or the operating system of your computer and your connection to the Internet. Under no circumstances, however, will we pass this data on to third parties or establish a link to your personal data without your consent.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can only facilitate navigation for you and enable the correct display of our web pages.

Of course, you can also use our website without cookies being used. You can refuse the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your Internet browser or have the setting of cookies indicated and then decide in individual cases whether you accept cookies. You can make the necessary settings for this in your Internet browser under the menu item “Tools/Internet Options” in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer or under the corresponding menu item in other browsers. For details, refer to the help menu of your Internet browser. Rejecting or displaying cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

Please also note our notes on the use of the Google Analytics service, which also uses cookies.

6.2. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. “(“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will previously be reduced by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website use and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

By changing your browser settings, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your computer. However, this may result in display- and functional restrictions when using our website.

A browser plug-in also prevents the collection and use of data generated by cookies. You can download it from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Learn more about Google and Google Analytics’ privacy policy at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Additionally or as an alternative to the browser add-on you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages. An opt-out cookie is installed on your device and Google Analytics will not collect data for this website and this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

6.3. Google AdWords

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords sets a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad served by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be traced through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you do not want to be tracked, you can disable the Google Conversion Tracking cookie from your Internet browser. If necessary, use the browser’s help function for further information. For more information about Google’s privacy policy, please visit http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

6.4. Script Libraries

In order to present our contents correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

6.5. YouTube

On some of our websites we embed YouTube videos. YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA is the operator of the corresponding plug-ins. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to Youtube servers is established. Youtube will be informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google AdSense program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when viewing YouTube videos. Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at “Youtube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

6.6. MailChimp (Newsletter)

For an effective registration for our newsletter we need a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. For this purpose we log the order of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the requested answer. Further data will not be collected. We use the data exclusively for sending newsletters and do not link it to other data.

We use the newsletter service “Mailchimp” from The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA. When you register to receive our newsletter via MailChimp, the data you provide will be transferred to the Rocket Science Group server and stored there.

You can revoke your consent to the use for the newsletter dispatch at any time. In each newsletter you will find a corresponding link. Please note that a revocation of the newsletter subscription only leads to a blockage, but not to a deletion of your data on the servers. If you wish the data to be deleted explicitly, please contact us as described in section 5.

7. Changes to our Data Protection Regulations

We reserve the right to occasionally adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply for your next visit.
