Free Version FAQ

Below, we provide answer to frequently asked questions regarding the free version of ReqSuite® RM.

How does the free version differ from the full version?

The free version is limited to a maximum of five users and a maximum of 200 requirements or content elements. Furthermore, it is only available on our cloud server as SaaS, but not as a local installation. Support is not included in this offer and the import functions for Word, Excel and ReqIF files as well as the interfaces to JIRA, Team Foundation Server, Enterprise Architect and Active Directory are functionally missing.

How can I get the free version?

Please register first for our 14-day trial access. This will give you an overview of all functions, especially those that are not included in the free version. If you would like to continue using ReqSuite afterwards, you can either order full access via our website for a fee or let us activate the free version for you.

Can anyone use the free version?

Since we only provide a limited contingent for the free version, we reserve the right to decide who gets free access. We will only activate this access upon request and verification of the customer. In principle, private individuals, students and existing customers have no claim to the free version.

Will the free version expire at any time?

Access to the free version will be switched off if no requirements or content elements have been created or edited for more than 90 days. In principle, we reserve the right to cancel our free offer with a notice period of 3 months. Currently, however, we are planning long-term operation.

Can I switch from the free version to a full version if necessary?

Of course. You can either upgrade to the full version at any time via our website or order an activation or local installation via us. However, it is not possible to switch from the full version (back) to the free version.

I have the free version and want support. What to do?

Of course, we are also happy to assist customers of our free version, but we have to charge for this service separately. If you are interested in training, consulting or configuration support, please contact us and we will make you an individual offer.

Are updates included?

Yes, since the free version is hosted on our cloud server, you will automatically receive the latest ReqSuite® version.

Can I cancel the free version?

Even if free accesses are automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity, you can also explicitly cancel. Please send us an e-mail. We will then irrevocably delete the access including the data it contains.
